What is the CTA?

The Coastside Tennis Association (CTA) purpose is to provide, facilitate and coordinate opportunities for its members and the community to play tennis on the San Mateo Coast. It’s management and activities are all done by volunteers.

To accomplish these goals, CTA partnered with the Cabrillo Unified School District and established a Memo of Understanding (MOU) to provide public access to the courts at Half Moon Bay High School. The CTA serves its members and the public by funding HMB HS court maintenance, producing public tennis events and sponsoring USTA NorCal League teams.

The Coastside Tennis Association enthusiastically welcomes and encourages players of all ages and skill levels to join us as members.

We are a member of the USTA Community Tennis Association.

The CTA is a non-profit 501(c)3 entity; our tax ID is 45-4535524.

CTA Governance and Financials

The CTA Board wants to be as transparent as possible to members and the public, so each year the financial operating results will be posted, as well as the reserve balance. The reserve is intended to defray the costs of large improvement projects such as court resurfacing, light fixture optimization, construction of permanent bathroom, etc. The Board will determine appropriate reserve fund expenditures and timing, but welcomes input from members regarding suggestions and priorities.
